Like most people, I have been taking photos for pleasure since I was a small child. However it is only since 1995 that I started to see and appreciate photography as an art form and it became my passion.
I started to shoot professionally in 2005, when I shot my first wedding for a fee, having first gained experience as a 2nd shooter or even as a guest at friends weddings. Between 70-80 weddings later, at the end of 2012, I called it a day and shot my last wedding (though never say never!) to concentrate on portraits, and my current passion - flowers and wildlife. Although I still shoot events on request.
For portraits, I prefer natural settings as opposed to the sometimes clinical and confining feel of a studio, but I can and do shoot in both. Having a portable mini studio is a boon and a necessity in the Winter months and means I can shoot throughout the year whatever the weather.
I was a Norland trained nursery nurse for 9 years and have a Norland diploma and NNEB to my name so I am very comfortable around children, but I also shoot families, couples and individual portraits.
If you would like further information or wish to discuss your photographic needs, please feel free to contact me either via the form in the "Contact Me" page or on 01883 723783. I can cover most of Surrey and the surrounding areas.
All the very best
